Hello all. I have a quick one..

I've read around a lot, but have no definitive answer yet. I'm looking to position a shaver socket by a countertop basin which will primarily be used for an electric toothbrush. For this reason, I don't want it too high so the charger cable can simply remain coiled up on the countertop. I'm thinking around 50mm from the bottom of the socket to counter height. It will be 300mm+ to one side of the basin.

Is this quite acceptable? It's not new build, just a converted flat.

Many thanks..

Yes, basins don't count. You can put it wherever you want outside of zone 1 - i.e. above bath/shower.

It must be to BS EN 61558-2-5 if within 3m. of bath/shower.

Great, sounds like what I wanted to hear ... Thanks for taking the time to respond so quickly!
