I'm currently planning/pricing a shed 3.6m x 6m and need some advice on the base which I'm planning to do in timber.

Using the 3.6m to span my joists - I was going to use 2x8 so to avoid having a centre support, else I will use 2x6 and have a centre support.

My local timber merchants stock 6m length timber, so my 3.6m joists can fix in to this on the sides (and use hangers depending on option I go for)

My question is around supporting this frame.

1. Using 4x4 fence posts concreted in ground. Something like this - http://www.gardenersown.co.uk/garden/garden allotment/sb6.jpg
2. Resting frame on skids. Something like this - http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yoqu98w0SFo/UISfN4oNk8I/AAAAAAAADS8/ggZA1v3b64Y/s1600/playhouse+base.jpg
3. Another way...

Thanks in advance

A grid of concrete blocks laid flat, put one every 1200mm in a grid fashion. Then the spans will be reduced and you could use smaller timber sections.
