shed foundations

Hi
I am building a large shed,2.8m by 7.4m I have dug out the top soil and reached clay which is hard at a dept of 100mm will i now be able to lay concreat foundation in one slab or should I section it in three bits and am i deep enouth. :rolleyes:

So you mean the shed "slab", not foundations as a shed can quite simply sit on a slab as opposed to traditional strip/trench foundations.

That is quite a large area so I'd be surprised if you'd get away with a 100mm deep slab (as you have excavated 100mm).

There's no reason why it can't all be done in one go but check to make sure the slab thickness (and mesh reinforcement... if required) is sufficient.
