I serviced our 2020 T-Roc today and noticed oil on the front n/s strut.

Shock have to replaced in pairs so will change both sides.

Is the Monroe brand still of good standing?

A very popular make, I'd use them without any thought.
Of course, Spax, Koni, Bilstein etc are also good.
I'd probably go for gas struts personally and I confess I'd only change one side!
John :)
Allow me to edit this one......do look very carefully at the strut top bearing and preferably change it anyway.

In my experience Monroes have tended to be durable but a bit on the "soggy" side. To Burnerman's list, I would add Boge and KYB - the latter, I was surprised to see, being named on a major manufacturer's chassis drawing I saw recently! Sachs aren't bad either.
