The EV on our Worcester combi needs recharging again, even though it was only done in April
Is there anything specific I should get the engineer to check coz I really don't want to have to do this every few months ...

Not really no, if it wasn't pre-charged correctly in the first place then that might explain it.

Either that or the vessel has a perforated diaphram or a leaky valve but that should have showed up in the primary tests that the engineer should have performed before re-charging.

I find that Worcester boiler EVs are worse than most other makes.

But as Madrab says it is important that they are set up correctly in the beginning.

I find that even British Gas engineers often do not do that. I went to one only six months old even though I recommended them to just call BG back.

On many boilers they can be accessed from the top and so potentially accessible by the owner with a car foot pump.
