Just removed a radiator for decorating. The water was nasty black with a scummy sheen to it. Anyway, I have washed it out with running water and will refit over the weekend. Should I add something to it - one of the many treatments I see in B&Q etc. If so what would you recommend?

It's a combi boiler sealed system.

Thanks John

HI

add sentinel sludge remover leave the system running for few days then flush with fresh water and finally add and leave sentinel inhibitor.

i'd suggest you firstly put a cleaner in (fernox sludge remover or something similar)and run the system for the time suggested or a bit longer in your case,
quote:"The water was nasty black with a scummy sheen to it".
then drain and put an inhibitor in.
