I had a engineer come down to look at fault with boiler. In conversation he recommended a blend valve on unvented cylinder. Is it worth to? What are benefits?
A blending valve (TMV) is usually used to reduce the output temp of the hot water to a level that reduces the temp at at the outlet/tap. it's usually used as an anti scald protection.
Why did he suggest a blending valve in relation to a boiler fault?
