I'm renovating a property which is currently a flat and a maisonette. I'm going to be converting it back to be a family house.

The flat and the maisonette currently have seperate heating systems. a Potterton Combi 80 in the basement and a Linea 24 Combi upstairs, both rerasonably new and in ok nick.

Does anyone know how inefficent is it running 2 boilers vs 1? Are there any advantages of havoing seperate boliers?

Grateful for any advice.

Thanks

Guy

Seeming as you can zone off areas of heating with 1 single boiler, I don't see the advantages of 2.

Double the chance of carbon monoxide posisoning? :p

Lose the Vokera and keep the Potty, no sense in having both and parts are a bit more readily available and generally cheaper on Baxi Group stuff

There used to be a person on this forum who used to advocate two combis! Presumably though you are losing a gas meter? In which case, the boiler connected to that one would have to go unless you install a lot of new pipework.
