should I worry?

I decided to put down some hessian lag to stop increasing pipe noise following installation of new boiler and found singed joists. See picture. I have been told these are just soldering burns - but just wanted to clarify.

If any of you fine folk could shed some light on this I would be grateful. ( I have posted am image here

They are burns from soldering, most of which could have been avoided.

As long as it's not still smouldering when you put the lagging on it will be fine
