Should the pressure rise

Hi,should the pressure rise when you put on the heating in a combi boiler and ifso what should it rise to?

Yes it does rise mate due to water expansion with heat. Mine does too. Normally when the manual says presurise it to 1 or1.5bar for example you do it while cold. I'd expect it to rise by no more than half a bar to be honest.
 
The pressure increases because the water in the system expands as it heats up. An expansion vessel allows room for the water to expand.

The exact increase depends on the individual system design, layout and water capacity, but is usually from about 1 Bar (cold) to 2 Bar or so (hot).

The boiler incorporates a pressure relief valve, which should operate if the system pressure gets too high, usually about 3.5 Bar, but it is a safety device not expected to come into play during normal operation.

If the pressure increase from cold to hot is too great, the expansion vessel may be faulty or need recharging.

If the cold pressure is too high, the system may have been overfilled.
 
Thanks,it sits under 1.5 bar and when it heats up it goes to about 2.2 bar
