Hello!
We've had a shower cabin for over a year now with no incidents. A couple of weeks ago it started running a lot hotter. It's like the cold water isn't getting through.
We have a combi boiler so it's been fitted with a PEV. The plumber that came out to see it thinks that the thermostatic cartridge is what needs replacing. I was hoping for some idea as to if he's on the money with that.
In the manual it states that the cartridge can fail if the water pressure is imbalanced. Could the PEV be kaput as well?
Additionally I saw here: http://www.steamshowerparts.co.uk/Thermostatic Cartridge.pdf
Stating that if the pressure is balanced then the cartridge could be reset? Does this just mean replaced or is there a way to reset them?
Sorry about all the questions I haven't the foggiest about this stuff!
