Yes, I realise and agree with that but maintain my answer is correct because the shower CU won't be in the bathroom.

Or perhaps the main CU is already in the bathroom and doesn't need to be brought up to current regulations.

I suppose that someone who was hell-bent on doing it would probably be able to find a CU which was suitable for installation in a bathroom (so long as it was not in 'zones')!
You can buy CUs suitable for use outdoors, so they must be OK for bathrooms.

That's essentially what I said - although it might have to be one 'suitable for use outdoors in the tropics'!
