Shower CU?

I don't understand what your requirement for IPx4 is about?

Is it to do with cable entry at the top of the device?

Yes, but you don't especially go and specify
Get one that is at least IPx4
.

The enclosure will be at least that as matter of course. It will be up to the installer to ensure that any access holes made in teh tiop surface comply with IPx4.

I mean, if I look at a standard consumer unit spec, it will probably say something like IP2x. A weatherproof one might be IP65.

It was an attempt at humour based on the two possible interpretations of "shower CU" ie a CU that feeds the shower or a CU mounted in the shower. Not a very good one, I freely admit but sadly it was the best I could come up with :)

I apologise to the OP for derailing his thread.

So the conclusion is a 16 way Wylex dist board in the shower? (I can't do smilies but I would put one here if I could!)
