I have recently moved into a property which needs some refurbishment.

I am looking at installing a shower in the bathroom but cannot workout whether I can install a power shower or not. The boiler is a combi and the model is Vokera Linea 24 which I think was installed around the later part of 2001.

The max heat input is 26.3kw and the water flow rate is 9.71 lites per minute @ 35 degrees c. The max operating pressure is 10.1mb.

Can anyone please help me on which types of shower I can actually install?

Thanks in advance...

You cannot fit a power shower to any combi. You need a shower that is suitable for combi's or mains pressure. I always fit the Mira Excel thermostatic shower, others makes and models are available at different prices and quality. Most showers these days will accomodate a combi, some have a restrictor that has to be fitted in the cold mains supply to help balance the pressures.

Thanks Dave.

A mate of mine is selling a new Mira Advance shower which he claims retails at around £300 ex VAT and he is selling it to me for £150. Would this be adequate?
