Shower disconection.

Hi,
I'm about to change the shower in my ensuite, I have isolated the water to the shower but I can not see how to get the shower rail that conects to the hot and cold off the wall, what kind of connection should I be looking for, compression behind or pushfit onto the 15mm pipework etc?
