I have a shower door that hinges on an aluminium frame. The hinge mechanism screws into the frame, which is may a couple of millimetres thick metal, then a void of maybe a centimetre.
The screws worked loose, enlarging the hole in the metal. I replaced with some fatter screws, but eventually the same thing happened again.
I can't go for bigger screws again because they won't fit the hinge.
What is the best thing to use to fill the void behind the screw hole so I can screw into it? Is there a better way to secure? The frame is hollow, but it is too thin to use the type of fittings you would use on a hollow wall.
Thanks
Joe
