after completely revamping bathroom i need to know what type of shower unit i need to work from a combi boiler

The vast majority (if not all) mixer showers will work with a combi.
Because combi's use mains pressure to supply the hot water, you wont need a booster pump.
Whilst they might look identical, one that is described as 'thermostatic' would be a better choice than a 'manual' mixer as it will help overcome any tempertaure fluctuations when water is used elsewhere in your home.
Some are built in, but maybe it's a bit late for this type after you have revamped your bathroom.
Some are surface mounted
Others combine the bath taps and the shower
