Shower Head not pointing down?!?

Hi Guys..

So my wife this morning took the shower off the wall to rinse out the bath.. usually I do this as she's quite short and can't reach it..
she calls me in and says the shower isn't pointing into the bath..

Now I don't know what she has done, but I've tried putting it back and it's still pointing upwards.. I tried spinning the shower head holder round but that doesn't help and the shower head doesn't fit in it the other way..

I'm fairly certain there wasn't any adaptors on it and can't see one anywhere on the floor or in the bath..

Any thoughts?
I don't really want to have to replace the shower head / potentially the rail?!?

Turn the holder 90 degrees rather than it sticking out from the wall. The head should adjust downwards from there.
