I live in a converted 2 bedroom split level top foor flat. I have a Worcester Combination 9.34 Heatslave Boiler in great condition.

I have spoken to several bathroom specialists in my local area to find out which shower would best suit my flat. Some of them have said Electric shower and some of them have said Thermostatic. Can you please advise on which type of shower would best suit my flat.

I have been told that a electric shower will cost £1.000 to just change the electric circuit board in my flat.

I am so confused and neeed your advice.

Thankyou very much

Mr Ashok Burman

Thermostatic will be a better shower.

Electric will give you a backup for the boiler- whilst it maybe in good condition - it is getting on a bit.

aburman,

If combi is still performing well, no need to use electric.

Worth putting a post on the electric forum of get a better picture of cost and work require to run cable should you opt for electric after all as a failsafe as suggested by mr robinson.

London or not, who's quoting you £1K - consumer unit less that £100, cable less that £100, probably less than a day's work - £800 labour, and that's without getting a plumber to do his bit! :?
