One of our showers is a mixer, HW from tank. Conventional boiler.
The other is in the Granny flat (garage conversion) and is electric 8.5kw.
I am planning a third to go in a bedroom en-suite.
Would it be best to go for a mixer or an electric?
The CU has a rating of 100A, it does not have a split load.
Thanks, Rob.

Probably more appropriate in plumbing forum.

I'd go for tank-fed, simply beacuse I hate electric showers.

YOu'd have to watch the tank volume if you're expecting showers in quick succession.

Ok, I suppose the mod on Saturday afternoon shift thought that you plumbers would know more about CU load ratings than the electricians.
Obviously our hot water tank can only hold so much, but is it acceptable to have two 8.5kw showers on a 100A CU, bearing in mind the other demands on it?
