Shower isolation switch in bedroom

I am planning to gut out and re-do a bathroom. This has an electric shower and the isolation valve and isolation switch for this shower are in the adjoining bedroom. I am unsure on when this was done and if this was acceptable at the time (assuming it isn’t now). I’d appreciate your view on this please.
I could relocate this but it’s likely to a pain and will involve a junction box above the ceiling or in the wall which isn’t ideal...
 
Yes, it's fine.

The switch is not actually required by the regulations so it does not matter where it is (within reason).
 
Many homes have the isolation switch outside the shower/bathroom and are positioned in the hall outside the door.
