Shower or boiler issue?

Hello

I am hoping somebody can help me!!

I have a gainsborough shower that is fitted to my Ariston Euro Combi boiler. The shower is about 10 years old and although the thermostat won't move has been serving me well, until recently. The shower seems to run hot, then cold, then hot. I have checked the boiler pressure and all seems fine there. Although I have noticed that it occasionally likes to trip out and the red light comes on for me to reset it (probably could do with a service, if I'm honest). Can anyone with some knowledge tell me what they think the problem might be as I'm not sure whether to contact a plumber or my heating engineer.

Do your hot water taps run hot-cold-hot-cold?

No taps don't run hot cold.

The shower probably needs servicing, especially if it is a thermostatic shower.
