shower pressure

Hello,

i have an Ideal Istor HE325 system fitted which is a pressurised system. The showers are ok but i wouldn't call them powerful. I was wondering if i could install an in-line pump to increase the shower pressures as the Istor has a 120 litre hot water tank so would not struggle to supply hot water.

Neil, is this a combi boiler? It's illegal to pump a combi in the uk. Sorry about your pressure, though.

no its not a combi boiler as it doesn't heat the water on supply, its just an unvented system which is pressurised. its called a Condensing System Storage Boiler.

it still gives mains pressure hot water.
you can't fit a pump to mains water

it's more likely your incomming pressure not the shower

we seem to get great pressure from the shower off the bath taps. could it be anything to do with the thermostatic mixer unit on the shower restricting flow at all ?

yeh, it has never been brilliant.

not sure what make it is just one i got from plumberworld.co.uk its nothing special.
