Hello

Having a 'mare with various bits falling to bits around the house at the moment.

The shower pump, which is turned off all the time anyway, has sprung a leak (i only noticed it whilst looking for the isolator so i can replace the electric shower - i noticed a small puddle getting larger, so must have quick it at the actual point it started.. !)

Whats the best way to bypass the pump, asides from buying 3m of 22mm pipe, a pipe bender, and making something? Is there such a thing purchasable as a 22mm U bend? Failing that, some longer flexi hoses with the quick connectors I guess.

I've been to B&Q but no joy..

Thanks
Mike

Thanks. The flexi hoses are some sort of quick fit job though, not threaded unfortunately.

If I was to purchase a new pump, what does 1.5 bar equate to, I don't want it too powerful as the gravity is already pretty good, an the HW storage is not huge.

I have some 15mm corners and pipe here, will try and make a U and then just need four 15mm to 22mm connectors and I will solder the lot up. Should work.

Another option is longer flexi hoses with quik fits, if such a thing exists, will check the shed sites

I have been rather enjoying soldering a pipe together to bridge across the dead side of the taps in the photo, so think I will be ok.

I did wonder though, as I have never soldered copper before if my joints would be reliable enough. I connected it up to mains cold water and no leaks or bursts so should be fine for my gravity shower! I think anyway.. finish it off in morning, beer time now!

Cheers!
