Hi,

Does anyone know if its possible to fit a shower pump to an electric shower that is connected directly to a private spring water supply.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

How do you get the water supply from the spring is it pumped at present?

You say it is a 'private' supply - does the supply just feed your property or other properties as well?

Mira do a pumped electric insantanous shower from a store of water, eg cold tank, you couldn't take off a hill supply as the pump could cause a suction in the pipe from another tap. Unlikely but possible and you don't want it sucking up something you don't want into your water supply.
Mira Elite is the model I think

Water from the spring is held in a large tank on the hillside, it then feeds a number of farm buildings, but we cannot turn the pressure up too high as this will, and has in the past, damage the water troughs. Our property is the last on the chain and the pressure is very low by the time it reaches us.

We also have a filter & UV light just after the property inlet

It is a bit risky it may work but on the other hand it could cause problems.

In any event I an pretty certain your local Water Authority would have control over you on this matter (you can check with the WA) in which case it would contravene the Water regulations anyway.

How about installing a small cistern in your property with a water booster pump - a bit more cost though
