We have had an extension built and have a nice new ensuite. The shower tray is in, the head comes from the ceiling so to give the effect of raining. Please excuse my lack of technical jargon!! Our water system is hot water via a tank in the loft and cold via mains. We dont want to be pinned to the shower wall with the pressure. We have a Hans Grohe mixer shower valve.

Many Thanks in advance.

Hans Grohe generally need quiet high pressures just to work and that a rain style shower head and you probably need 3.0bar rain heads cover larger diameters therefore you do not get high pressure but you do use a large quantity of water.

With the valve you will get a min spec for pressure required what is it?
With the shower head you will also get a min pressure required ?
Do you want a quiet pump or a durable one?
Do you know what pressure your cold mains is?

You should try to match your cold mains pressure as best as possible or a better option pump both hot and cold then you will get even pressures.

The valve is a Grohe not Hans Grohe, looking at the booklet with it says:
Flow pressure - min - .5bar
- recommended - 1-5bar
Operating pressure - max 10bar

I am not sure of our water pressure here though.
Also not sure of the min pressure for the head.
We would like a pump with good durability and quiet operation if there is such a thing!

Thanks.
