Hi all,

I am having my bathroom re-done (not by me) and I wanted to get the stuff I needed before the workmen come in and do the work.

I had a Altech Booster pump 50 fitted, to boost the shower. The shower was just a hot / cold mixer coming out of the wall. I am having it replaced with a bath mixer tap.

The pump has broken, so I wanted / need to replace it. Would I need a positive or negative pump? I have my eye on this, i'll be honest - i'm on a budget - as long as it lasts a couple of years i'll be happy. It seems to be the same "spec", but I am unsure on if centrifugal is what I need:

I am a total rookie, I have "0" plumbing experience, can anyone advise. If any more info is required, let me know. I hope someone can help.

sounds OK, but could I get away with a pump that only uses one feed, I am only using it for the shower?

IF I was to get a different brand, would I need a positive or negative?
