Hi,
I am about to replace my mixer shower with a new Chrome mixer. All I intend to change is the Mixer but there are no Isolation valves fitted at all. Is it best to fit them before the pump or after, i.e. between the Hot water cylinder and Pump or Pump and shower mixer?
Cheers
Mark.

you should have gate valves on the feeds to the shower and the pump feeds

use full bore lever valves instead of gate valves on both inlets and outlets of the shower pump
