Shower Sealant

Hi All,
Please can you tell me how often you should replace the silicone sealant in a shower cubicle? I always thought it was every two years but I cannot find any manufacturers recommendations anywhere.

Change it when it needs it, ie either looks mouldy or if its letting water through. Why change it for the sake of it.

the sealents usually have a 10 - 25 year life.

I replace ours about every 18 months to keep it looking new - doesn't take long to do at all.
