Shower shroud not covering thread

Should my shower shroud cover these exposed threads? I can’t tighten the nuts anymore and the shroud can’t be moved closer as the threads/nut will start to show on the other side.

I can’t move the threads into the wall as there’s not enough space around the copper pipes.

The fact that a couple of millimetres of thread are visible is fine ,it's almost inevitable.

Spray them black

Or

Obtain a rubber O ring about the size and fit it onto the threads before you do the nut up

Or

Use a bench grinder to reduce the length of the threads by at most a millimetre less than the length of threads on show. eg if 5 mm threads on show with the nut tight, remove at most 4mm.

The latter is tricky because you'll need to do a good job of keeping the end square
