I've purchased a Cast Stone shower tray from Wickes - see http://www.wickes.co.uk/Shower-Trays/Easi-Plumb-Quad-Cast-Stone-Shower-Tray/invt/207310. I've also bought the Panel and Leg pack - see http://www.wickes.co.uk/Shower-Trays/Easi-Plumb-Quad-Leg+Panel-Pack/invt/207312.
My question is - will the 4 legs (at each corner and on the edge at the centre of the curve) provide adequate support and mean that the tray won't crack under weight?
The tray is just stone with brass screw-threaded holes for the feet to go into. There are also wall fixings to fix it horizontally.
The instructions that came with the base talk about bedding the tray securely or bedding on ply on top of wood to raise it but I will just be raising on 4 feet. But the instructions for the feet say just stand on the feet. Wickes specifically say that the feet are for that exact tray.
Is this okay? I know it's what the instructions say, but I don't want to end up with a cracked shower tray and have to rip it all out later.
