Shower tray with waste at opposite end

Morning all,

Hopefully a simple question!

Is there any reason why I can't fit a rectangular shower tray with the waste at the 'opposite' end to 'usual'? Basically at the walk in end rather than under the shower itself. Would make the slotting of waste pipe into a gypsum screed much, much easier.

Trays are manufactured with an inbuilt fall across the base of the tray to the outlet, provided tray is installed level in accordance with the Manufacturers instructions, it really shouldn't matter where the waste is located in relation to the shower head.
