Hello all

When fitting shower trays the MI's say lay on a weak cement bed.

Is a weak cement bed:

a) more sand than cenent
b) a very watered down mix.

Thanks Bod

well....not watered down but a slightly soft mix that will allow you to move the tray kind of wriggled side to side to bed it down ! doesn't want to be sloppy but not too stiff............stiff enough that it doesn't move once you've levelled the tray ........

and if you don't get it right first time take it up and do it again !!! on solid floors I always bed it on breeze blocks never the plastic legs.

If you have to use the plastic legs wrap the threads with ptfe stops it squeaking !!!! and they don't move then as you manoeuver it around.

It means about five of sand to one of cement, and not too wet.
