shower unit leaking

Hi! I have an Aquiliser 8.5. Problem is water comes out of the bottom of the unit around the hose reducing badly the flow from the shower head. Whats the problem?

Unscrew the hose from the bottom of the unit and check the condition of the 1/2" flat rubber washer - it's probably misshapen. Replace, and if the joint still leaks, try two 1/2" flat rubber washers instead of just one.

Thanks for thatrobin7. The hose washer is ok. The water is coming out higher than that but I can't see where.

As Andy said above, it will be the PRD usually caused by shower head holes blocked / partially blocked by limescale.

Ok gentlemen. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a prd. Looks a bit different on my unit but you can still get one. Good to learn what causes it. Many thanks for your help.
