Advice please. It seals it drains and it’s connected. However it’s slightly off centre with the indent in the tray (nearest to the the camera). Any implications other than water will always sit in that little area?

Thank you. Had tested with cold but put 10 x 4 pint milk bottles of hot water down it now. All is well.

OK. It's good to try and give the waste a bit more of a tighten when it's warm... ie, by pouring hot water down and then giving it a nip. If it's dry you should be OK. Not ideal obviously, to have it skew whiff but you can fill the recess with silicone.

The water seal of the trap is all performed by the seal under the tray, not the top seal. As long as it doesn't leak then the only real impact will be the little water that may be left beside the waste outlet as you suggest.
