Recently upgraded to a combi boiler.
Old system supplied a mixer shower-Aqualisa 430.

The shower has to be turned to full to achieve temperature.
Would fitting a PRV in the cold water feed to the shower allow more accurate temperature control?

An ex Aqualisa rep told me to fit a ballofix valve to the cold feed and restrict the flow with it when i enquired about replacing the cartridge in an Aqualisa shower for the combi one. Apparently the only difference is a flow restrictor in the cold.

S plan fully pumped system.

I have a Ballofix in the cold feed to the shower.

I think you mean NRV

Non return valve

Slightly confused.

Would the flow or pressure on the cold water feed to the shower need to be regulated?

can anybody help on this one.

Thanks for the reply.

Could anyone confirm which i require:

Ballofix in the cold water supply(flow),PRV(pressure reduction) or NRV(not sure why this is required?)

Thanks.

You could place a valve in the cold water inlet as suggested earlier and use it to balance the flow rate to your satisfaction. A pressure reducing valve or non return valve isn't what is needed here.

If you DIYd it, the valve would cost less than a £5er.

The Aqualisa combi shower insert did indeed incorporate a restrictor in it, although I believe they have since changed again.
