Poor Shower Pressure

I recently had a new bathroom suite installed and one of the requests I had was that a shower was fitted over the bath. Since the shower has been fitted I have been having problems with the pressure and temperature control. Having inspected the system the hot water is coming from the combi boiler direct to the bath taps and then from there via a flexible pipe to the shower (the bath originally only had a hand held shower). However the cold water is coming from the cold water storage tank and isn’t flowing very fast. The temperature & flow for the shower is regulated by the bath taps.

In order to have a shower I need to regulate the temperature direct at the combi boiler by turning down the hot water to a very low setting and turning the hot water tap on full at the bath.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I am new to these forums and not a plumber but I consider myself fairly competant at most diy. I may be corrected for saying this but most over the bath showers use mains pressure cold water and heat it according to the demand needed. Also if the cold water to the bath taps is only fed off the cold water storage tank then the flow will only be relying on gravity hence the slow flow.Who fitted the new bathroom suite?

Lazy boiler installer did not bother to adjust the system.
Convert the lot to mains pressure and problem solved, easy enough.

As above. As you have a combi, you don't need the storage tank. Convert all cold water in the bathroom to mains and lose the tank. You will then have a decent cold water flow from the shower.
