shutters for upvc windows

Hello,

I live in a 14th floor flat with a very large window area, and consequently there is much heat loss in winter and the sun is very bright in summer. I am wondering what to do about this. Is it possible to install shutters over double-glazed upvc windows? This might solve both problems.

14th floor? sounds like an expensive job fitting anything outside of the windows.you could change the glass to a more energy efficient type, tint the glass or get thicker curtains
