I am interested in replacing the old style wired mechanical honeywell thermostat in our living room - it periodically buzzes, and we also have a fire in the living room. When this is on in the evening the rest of the house does not get heated up as the thermostat is in a warm room!

I was looking at wireless thermostats - The boiler has a timer built into the control panel, so I just need the thermostat functionality.

I am aware that Siemens make the RDH10RFhttp://www.uk-plumbing.com/siemens-rdh10rf-wireless-room-thermostat-with-receiver-p-51290.html which seems to do the job. But, because my wife works part time, there are certain days where it would be an advantage for the temperature to be set lower for the afternoon time period. Is the REV24RF http://www.uk-plumbing.com/siemens-rev24rf-7-day-wireless-room-thermostat-p-54069.html a thermostat with a heating timer, or just a thermostat with the ability to set temperatures per/during each day? Unfortunately it is not clear from the blurb (at least not to me!)

Thanks!

these are just stats

the 1st one is available as a programable stat and looks exactly the same but has a little slide switch down the right hand side and under the jog wheel.

Thanks BingoBongo. That's what I thought. I'm looking for just a stat so this will do exactly what I want!

I've gone for the rev24rfset which is programmable and seems to be slightly more flexible than the rdj10rf, as well as also being wireless...

This is OK isn't it?

The 24revrf is the best piece of kit I have come across so far; very accurate, plenty of options, and the strongest signal of all or them, so no bonding issues.
Have a look at this //www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=175736 item 12 if you want to know how to optimise the settings to achieve best comfort and economy levels.
