Silicone stains on hardwood window surrounds

I recently got some new windows with hardwood surrounds. The installers have managed to get a few blobs of silicone (fingerprints) on the woodwork and despite much rubbing down I still can't get woodstain to take on those areas. The silicone seems to have penetrated deep into the wood. Anything I can do?
