Silk paint

Hi All,

Just ripped out some fitted wardrobes and was greeted by some lovely wallpaper. Having removed the wallpaper I've done found silk paint... But I want to paint the room in Matt. I understand you can't go straight over the silk with Matt?

What options do I have available to me?

A light sanding all over with 120 or 180 grit sandpaper is all you need. This will provide a key for the matt paint to adhere to without the risk of it cracking or crazing. Sometimes you can get away without the sanding but, for the sake of an hour's work, it's better to be on the safe side.
