Problem - central heating will not switch off

summer/winter position has no affect
no room stat
turning boiler rad stat has no affect as CH keeps going
removing room stat link has no affect
removing summer/winter switch has no affect

Hot water comes on fine.

after running dhw does the boiler go out and then come back on for c/h?

yes switched back to CH

stupid boiler has frost protection, i removed it and all is fine! muppet who installed it years ago obviously doesnt realise the posistion its in ,you dont need it.

So when sensor goes faulty it will switch on heating to stop frost attack!
