Sime Boilers

Hi there,

Im looking for information on Sime combi boilers. I am due to replace my C H system and the quote that I have been given is for a Sime 35.

Is this a good make?

I was originally going to purchase a vokera.

Any info would be appreciated.

Nothing wrong with either, but Vokera is much better represented in Glasgow (probably tens of thosands if not over 100,000 units installed by now across the region) and the spares are plentiful and cheap.

I agree that nothing wrong with Sime but as its only a minority make with small sales numbers getting engineers to repair them can be quite difficult as many prefer to stick to those they are familiar with.

Thanks for the quick reply and information.

Trying to buy a CH system is a nightmare You think that you have it all sorted out and made up your mind. Then somebody says don't buy this boiler, Buy that one. Those radiators are to dear go to such and such.
Buy the stuff yourself and just get them to install it.
