thought i'd have a go at connecting new cooker to existing cooker fuse box. As a female i'm fed up with being ripped off by rouge traders and someone said its as easy as wiring a plug. B & Q sold me the correct grey cable but found one wire earth was unsheathed - didn't know you had to sheath it so connected it to cooker then tried to connect to existing box only to find the three screws were missing. Back at B & Q got a new box just to get the three screws that hold the cooker wire in the wall. Now ready to go and realised i have to sheath the bare earth wire. OK i'm not simple but if you've never done it, how are you meant to know - so please can someone give me basic instructions. I know insulation tape is inadaquate so will buy some suitable material. Absolute basic info really appreciated. Thanks
