I have a window that needs a new sill, but I have realised one side is shallower than the other. This means the window sill sticks out a bit further on one edge than the other.

Do I:

1) Keep the window sill the same thickness and have the protrusion a different size

2) Trim the window sill to make a consistent protrusion, but have a tapered thickness across it's length.

3) Something else I haven't thought about!

Thanks in advance.

It's a bit awkward to post a picture at the moment. The left hand side is (approx.) 20cm deep, and the right hand side is approx. 21cm deep. So it sticks out further on 1 side than the other. I can fix the amount it sticks out by tapering the window sill, but that might look stranger than now.

Hope that is clearer.
