Hi

My bathroom sink, continually takes ages to drain out, more apparant when I try to fill with hot water, as I have a combi boiler, and when the water has got hot and got to the sink, the sink is almost full!! It appears that it is actually a plastic cloakroom sink, fitted before I bought the house. Underneath, the plastic drain fits onto what appears to be a lead outflow pipe. Is it possible to replace all the waste piping with plastic, when I fit a proper bathroom sink, or is there another solution to the slow draining.
Any advice

It could blocked? Have you tried either undoing the trap (if it has one) or using drain cleaner?

Failing that there is no problem with replacing it with plastic.
