Wife wants sink moved when doing bathroom.

At the moment the waste runs above the floorboards under the bath & then connects to bath waste & then into soil pipe. We are going to replace bath with a shower & want the sink waste under the boards but because the joists run the opposite way, is this feasible option? The length it would have to run is 2.4m. cheers for any replies

Not really, the size notch or hole you'd need for a waste pipe is much too big, especially near the joist end. Box it in (maybe vanity unit under the sink to hide some of it)

That's what i thought would be the case. We wanted a low profile shower tray where the bath is, so the sink waste would have to be moved. Have to have a rethink then. Cheers

We didn't want any boxing if it could be helped, but looks lya change of plan is required. Cheers

Could run the pipe at ceiling height in the room(s) below, also boxed in.
That never crossed my mind, but could be an option. The sink waste connects into the soil pipe, which can be accessed in storage cupboard more or less underneath the bathroom. Don't mind boxing in their. Cheers
