Hi all,
I need to move the roof truss shown in the above picture to be where the orange line is, I'm thinking could I sister a new truss where the orange line is then cut the original truss at the pink line, this would leave approx. 3ft of old truss sistered to the new, with the new also fixed to the layboard.
Would this still provide adequate support albeit less than if it had been one original piece of wood.
