Sizing a Thermal store / Heat bank?

Is there a rule of thumb for size of Thermal store relative to boiler output?

e.g. If my Wood burning stove's back boiler had a quoted output of 5KW what would be an appropriate size of thermal store?

Sizing of thermal store to do what? Depends on what it's use is and what you are trying to achieve.
Will it be a heat sink or buffer? Or provide heating and hot water? Or just hot water? Would there be any other heat inputs?
I noticed your nick, and have to ask. Is it going in a caravan?
