Hi,

I’m removing laminate flooring from my living room so a carpet can be installed with underlay. The skirting boards were installed on top of the laminate flooring leaving a gap of around 12mm.

What’s the best way to deal with this? Don’t really want to build the floor up. Could I install another smaller skirting board or trim on the face of the existing skirting board? Not sure what would look best.

Any ideas/help is greatly appreciated - thanks

By the time you have underlay and gripper rods you won't see the gap.
